Biblical Help for Overcoming Childhood Sexual Abuse
Remember Romans 8:37?
"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
If we are to become more than than victims of sexual abuse—more than survivors—our focus
must be on our relationship with Christ.
Brad and Cheryl Tuggle
DON'T REMAIN A VICTIM—BECOME A SURVIVOR.
If you are a sexual abuse survivor, you're not alone. The statistics speak for themselves:
- 1 in 4 girls is sexually abused before the age of 14
- 1 in 6 boys is sexually abused before the age of 16
- 39 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse exist in America today
This is not a problem we can afford to ignore. Brad and Cheryl Tuggle share their story to help the millions of childhood sexual abuse survivors—like Cheryl—restore trust, worth, and meaning to their lives. Don't let your past destroy your future. This book shows you that your marriage can be a haven of peace, hope, and, ultimately, healing.
About the Authors
In September 2000, Brad and Cheryl Tuggle started a ministry to support sexual abuse survivors. Cheryl tells of her own childhood abuse to equip other couples to deal with their past in a spiritual context of acceptance and forgiveness. Together, they seek to begin a dialogue of healing in the church to address this sensitive but pervasive subject. The Tuggles and their two daughters, Catherine and Victoria, live in San Antonio, where Brad is a minister at Oak Hills Church.
